This spring, Madrid becomes a vibrant gateway to Southeast Asia and Filipino culture as ASIA FEST 2025 unfolds across two exciting Sundays — May 25 and June 1, 2025. Presented by VideoGaga and Nomads Media, in partnership with a dynamic network of Filipino and Asian organizations across Spain, ASIA FEST 2025 invites locals and expats alike to experience the spirit, stories, and flavors of Asia—right in the heart of Spain.

1. ASIA: ASEAN Fest 2025

A Cultural Celebration of Southeast Asia: May 25 at Centro de Filipinas

The first part of ASIA FEST kicks off on May 25 at the Centro de Filipinas in Madrid with ASEAN FEST 2025, a day-long celebration of Southeast Asia’s rich heritage, art, food, and community. With representation from countries such as the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia, guests will explore a mosaic of cultures through live performances, cultural exhibits, and interactive demonstrations.

Highlights include:

• Traditional Filipino dances by Las Señoritas and Las Señoritas Kids

• A Southeast Asian dance medley performed by Bayanihan Saringit, Star Pinoy Madrid Crew, and SPMC Kids

• Arnis (Filipino martial arts) and Baybayin (ancient Filipino script) demonstrations by Museyong Buhay

• A floral showcase by Ylang-Ylang Flower Studio

• A business networking space to bridge Asian and European entrepreneurs

• Culinary presentations by The Banana Leaf Madrid and other guest chefs

• Book talk featuring "Esto también es Madrid" by author Ricardo Blanco

2. PINOY COMMUNITY SALU-SALO

A meetup & celebration for and by the Filipino community: June 1 at Ayuyang Bar

The celebration continues on June 1 with Pinoy Community Salu-Salo, an evening dedicated to Filipinos living in Spain. Hosted at the cozy and cultural Ayuyang Bar in Plaza Castilla, this intimate gathering will be a warm "salu-salo" (communal feast) celebrating Filipino resilience, talent, and unity abroad.

Expect:

• Inspirational talks from Filipino professionals and leaders

• Recognition of outstanding Filipino businesses, organizations, and talents

• A "Merienda Salu-Salo" filled with Pinoy and Asian delicacies

• Traditional performances by Las Señoritas

• Business and career advice from Filipino entrepreneurs in Spain

• Summer event previews and — of course — a karaoke party!
